Tubes manufacturing starts with selection of appropriate width of slitted coil as per required diameter. The slitted coil is prior tested for chemical and mechanical properties. The slit coil is loaded on the uncoiler, Then strip is accumulated in the accumulator, further the strip enters into forming section.
This is a group of four stand that gradually forms the strip. The strip passes through the group of three stands that finishes forming the strip into a round shape. The round shape tube is then welded by high frequency induction welder. Three rolls in the weld box generate forging pressure on the strip edges creating a strong structural bond.
An OD scarfing unit removes the OD weld seam, if required ID weld seam can be removed by ID scarfing unit. The tube passes through a coolant chamber, further sized by sizing rolls. An automatically cutoff unit cut the tubes as per preset length. The tubes are further dipped in rust preventive oil then packed and dispatched.
